March in like a lion, out like a lamb… What a start to the month in the northeast, two big snow storms a bunch of rain, and temperatures hanging in the 30s. Needless to say that cabin fever is at all time high. I have tried to fish a few days but conditions have been really tough.
The combination of the water temp, the current and depth (water level) have been driving trout to the slow depths and its often very hard to get to them. Also wading becomes a lot more challenging and being safe on the water if very important. Bottom line we are only a few days away from the conditions breaking, hang in there, watch the weather closely and check you rivers metrics to know when its time to get out there.
